For the past 23 years I have been a resident of Dallas, originally from Chicago, this is where my family is and this is where I will spend the rest of my life, as a Proud Texan, a Proud Mexican Texan.

During those 23 years I have been one of the strongest voices for the Latino community in the Dallas Ft Worth Metroplex. On major issues affecting you and your Family, I have been the lead voice and unfortunately many times the only voice speaking out on issues important to our community. 

I have been a catalyst for major social change leading the charge to end the discriminatory hate based legacy of Tim O Hare when he wanted to ban Immigrant Families from Farmers Branch, by enacting restrictive housing laws that were discriminatory and punitive towards Immigrant Families. I led the fight to enjoin the City of Farmers Branch from moving forward with this anti Immigrant legislation, Tim O Hare fought back taking it all the way to the Supreme Court, he lost! Today I am back in Farmers Branch converting a building that has been abandoned for more than 20 years and converting it into a Indoor Retail Mall.

I organized 164 homeowners whose homes were destroyed by the 635 Construction Project resulting in a 11 million dollar settlement.

I spearheaded two major anti drug campaigns including the Anti Cheese Heroin Campaign and the Fentanyl Education Campaign that combined, killed over 40 teenagers and addicted thousands of young teenagers.

I help create and bring to both the Dallas Independent School District and the Irving Independent School

District “Breakfast in the Classroom” that now feeds over 250,000 students daily.

I led the charge against Police Brutality and excessive force advocating for the Family of José Cruz, the teenager masacred by convicted murderer and Farmers Branch Police Officer Ken Johnson, who is now sitting in prison for his murder.
